Now that most people know their AP scores I was wondering if in the common application should you only report your highest grades of like 4 and 5 but leave out 3s? The application says that reporting AP grades is optional but for a college like Princeton, if you have great SAT/ACTscores, great grades, and great SATII scores, would leaving this blank hurt your application?

I don't think AP scores will make you or break you. If you list any AP scores, I believe they ask for an official score report that will include them all anyway.

I think you should only include 4s and 5s. I know that on my official school transcript they automatically put grades of 4 and 5 and leave lower scores out. Princeton doesn't accept 3's for credit, so I don't think they'd be too impressed by them.

But yea, AP scores aren't a huge deal in your app, and you definitely don't need to send an official report before you get in.
