AP scoring is an embarrassing joke to the nation...

With 5 being a max score, it’s completely ridiculous that getting a 55-60%+ on an AP test can get you the “perfect score.” Akin to saying “Just get a D or a high F and we’ll give you full credit!”

Of course most people won’t like what I’m saying but there’s no denying the fact that there is too much leniency for getting a 5.

At least make it a scale of 1-10 that reflects the percentage the student gets. (90-100% = 10, 80-90% = 9, etc)

I really don’t see any reason to be grouping people who score 95%+ with those who score 60%. They should be recognized for their stellar performances.

Good thing AP scores matter for very little, then, huh?

Yes but in high school? Quite a big deal for a decent proportion of the nation

@testanalyst well, some finals I’ve taken in college are hard enough so that the average score is a 40%. Then scoring 60% or 90% could both be considered excellent.
