AP Spanish and Berkeley

I took AP Spanish my sophomore year of HS without taking any Spanish courses prior to it because I'm completely fluent.

However, I didn't do well in the class the second semester because I took the CHSPE and decided not to go to the final.

For the language requirement, could I still take the AP exam to fulfill it? And will the grade matter because it was AP and essentially 1-year, though it'd be like 5th year Spanish in reality?

4 or 5 counts i think.

So can I still take the AP exam without ever disclosing the bad grades? (Since it was solely one class?)

no, absolutely no. you must submit all grades on the application-- good or bad.

I'm not sure I'm being an effective communicator. . .

I took AP Spanish in HS, and I got a bad grade on semester. I never took the AP exam nor did I ever take courses prior to it-- I just took the AP course because I am already fluent and I wanted to get a higher GPA.

I tested out of HS and am now at a CCC, and I want to clear the language requirement. I'm aware that there are other tests besides the AP exam which I could take to fulfill that requirement, but I wouldn't get credit.

If I do choose to take the AP Exam (is it even allowed?) would I need to put on my transfer application that I took AP Spanish in HS and what grades I received in it, or no?

Under which circumstances do I not need to disclose AP course's grades as a transfer student?

I thought my HS record was irrelevant.

oh, not sure about that then.

IIRC, you can not take AP exams after you've graduated high school. I think you can take any test except AP.

Okay, so then I should just take another exam administered allowed by Berkeley to clear the requirement?
