AP Stat: Good Class?

It's a good class. If nothing else, you'll learn a ton from it and it will open up the statistical world that you never knew existed. When you have the right technology like Stat list editor on your calculator, DDXL, and other data analysis tools, you'll learn a ton and the class is interesting.

Looks pretty good on a transcript if you ask me, especially if you can pull a 4 or 5 on the exam.

I'm figuring out what I want to take next year, and if I take both AP stats and AP physics, I'll have a full schedule (which I don't really want, because I'll be a senior and I think I'll die). Would colleges prefer either? I'm taking the AP Physics B exam this year, but I know colleges like seeing the C exams a lot better.
Here's my classes: AP English, AP Macro, Honors Political Science, Calc III, AP Chem, AP French, couple of music classes
I heard AP Chem is a lot of work, but fun (so I don't know if taking AP Chem and AP Phys is do-able senior year) and AP Stats is fun & easy. Any suggestions? Can I self study AP Stats and do fine on the exam?

skatekid,

Honestly, you have a lot on your plate. AP stats is not very easy, but certainly easier than AP Chem or Physics. If you're trying to lighten your course load somewhat, go with the stats...it'll even help you in the future for whatever you do.

On the other hand, the AP Chem or Physics will help you if you're trying to bolster your schedule to look good for college. If you're trying to go somewhere technical, take Chem or Physics.

I took calc BC last year as a junior, and this year i've been taking AP stats. I find the topic interesting, but the math is so much easier than calc, and it can get kind of boring since it has been the slowest math class i've taken in high school. but i really like what i've learned and it seems more useful in everyday life than other math topics. But i would suggest that you think about the stats as you are doing it and think about changing some variables and what would happen to make it more interesting
