So for the AP Stat. exam, do you have to know how to derive all the standard deviation, mean, binomial probabilities, ect. equations? I always just use my calculator. I hope I do not have to explain the significance or the actual formulas for these things!

Also, what are the top things I should study besides the inference tests...

I would know linear regression, the law of large numbers, what inference tests to use when (Z & T), and just want all the equations are, and when to use them. Also, know how to interpret everything you've learned. Know what the standard deviation IS (sounds easy, but a lot of people really don't). Binomial v. Geometric, conditional prob, and how to use your calculator.

But, yeah, I basically plugged everything into my calc.

In addition, know the different types of errors (Type I and II) and know the basics for calculating the probability of each and what influences power.

lol basically if you can use your calculator well your good

You won't be asked to explain any of the equations, e.g. why is this the formula for standard deviation, why is degrees of freedom for this t-test n-1 and for that one n-2?
