Showing work on FRQ for AP Statistics

Hey everyone,

I’m still confused about how much work I need to show on the AP stats exam.

For example, do I need to show how I calculate the p-value for inference tests? Or can I just use the calculator and then state my conclusion about p relative the alpha? What about standard deviation? Do I need to show my work calculating that, or can I just use my calculator?

Any insight would be GREATLY appreciated.

Thanks.

bump. please someone help

I tell students to write either the name of the inference test or the formula naked with no numbers plugged in. Then I tell them to calculate z or t with the numbers plugged in. Then I tell them to go to the calculator and get t/z, p, and df. Lastly make the conclusion about p and alpha. Good luck. It can be a tough exam.
