AP STATS? AP SPANISH?
Does 3 years of language in high school year look bad?
B/c I took span language in 8th grade and I'm now at my 4th year of Spanish in junior year..
& I was wondering... should I continue and take AP Spanish?? or just not... and take AP Stats with AP Calc AB?
I hope someone would be willing to answer this question...!!

Take Spanish. The most selective colleges (HYP and the like) would much rather have you take 4 years of a language than doubling up in math. You can always take statistics in college, after all…

Oh thanks for your reply…
Considering that I’m planning to major in Psychology… I thought AP Stats will go well along with my schedule… I’m still confused… Should I still consider taking AP Spanish with AP CALC AB?
Any suggestions?

Take AP Spanish…Psych probably will not have major language requirements in college but some schools do require a little bit of language, so if you get your language requirement done now then that will be one less thing you have to worry about in college. Since you’ve already taken 4 years of spanish, it would make sense to go ahead and take AP
Take AP calculus AB and AP Spanish, not AP stats. That’s my suggestion =)
and fledling is right…HYP would prefer ap spanish, not two courses of math.

How about the UC’s…? will they look down upon if I took AP Stats with AP CALC AB?
