Next year I'm taking AP Calc AB, Chemistry, Physics, English III, and Spanish III. I'm intending to go to direction where AP Stats would be far more useful (engineering, business, or medicine) , would one class looks worse than the other? Intending on applying to some pretty prestigious uni's, (Columbia, U of M). So, AP US or AP Statistics?

APUSH is a fun class. You learn a lot and you work hard which i really think reveals your potential. If you want to apply to some ivies or other prestigious universities, APUSH would be the way to go. AP Stats is often looked at as not as challenging as some other AP’s.

AP STATS is easy. Its one of the easier AP’s.

AP US is more challenging and you will learn more.,

I’d take APUSH, as in AP Stats you do not learn as much.

To comment on determined, The stuff I learn in U.S. wouldn’t be as useful to me as the stuff I learn in Stats, like I liked U.S. History, did amazing in it as well, but I’m a more math/science kind of guy, leaning towards Stats atm.

:/ still not sure what to do

At our school, if you take AP stats you can take Finite and Discreet mathematics.
As a result, it’s really popular, way more than APUSH. Then again, my school is 80% asian and really math/science oriented.

Take it, it’ll help you in the long run

Do you think taking one of the classes over the other would make a difference in admissions,
right now my schedule is looking like
AP Calculus AB
AP Statistics
Chemistry
English III
Physics
Spanish III

then sr. year

AP Calculus BC
AP Physics
Either AP Lit or Brit Lit
Spanish IV
Government & Economics
Anthropology, Professional Web design or could take other ap class.

Ill, Calc AB and then Calc BC? That’s sick. Try taking Calc BC next year and then take APUSH or AP Stats senior year if you can.

AB is a pre-req for BC in our school
