Honors Physics or AP Stat?!

I'm having some trouble deciding my junior year courses. So far, these are my definite courses:

AP Language & Comp
AP USH
AP Chem
Honors Spanish
Honors Precalculus

The way my schedule works, I have to choose between Honors Physics or AP Stat for my 6th course. I cannot take both. If I take physics as a junior, I will take AP Physics as a senior. If I take AP Stat instead of physics as a junior, I will take AP Bio as a senior. Any advice as to which would be better? If this helps, I'm extremely driven and willing do to an enormous amount of work. My primary interest is actually English, in which I hope to major (my work has won several awards, like scholastic awards and such). I am also interested in a career in the business field.

Thanks SO much! I do appreciate it!

Do whichever you'd rather take. Stat would be more helpful when it comes to business, but none of them are going to help you in English really. AP Bio is pretty sweet...but AP Physics will also be really interesting. Take whichever you think you'd like better...and even if it comes down to it, which one has the better teacher. This will not effect your college decisions much...but if you think it would, you could take the two-AP track...but honestly, take whichever one seems more interesting.

TAKE WHAT WILL GET YOU TO AP BIO! Best class ever! and if you are even remotely good at math STAT is a total breeze (this comming from a person who is so not a physics person so if you like physics go that route)
i agree with sirius take teacher into consideration that can definately make or break a class

I love AP Stat, but am not an uber fan of AP Physics. My friends in AP Bio like it a lot.

Honestly, I'm in both right now, and I'd recommend AP Stats. You could skip Honors Physics and go to AP Physics depending on if its level B or level C.

wish i could, but at my school honors physics is a prerequisite for ap physics

Take Ap Bio. Ap Physics c Requires Ap cal. I took Ap Bio in my junior year it was
sweet. I take Ap Physics c this year , but took Ap cal. last year and helps me a lot. Good Luck

IMHO - I would take the AP Stats, especially if you're into humanities. It will help you on the math portion of your SATs. Just a thought!

Mmm.. truthfully, I'd recommend Honors Physics over AP Stats. At my school, at least, AP Stats is a pain in the arse of a course--one where your grade is in no way reflective of how well you know the relatively easy material. AP Physics, however, is a really great class, and I know it's one colleges love to see. Unless you absolutely love Bio, or if you're not gonna be able to get into BC Calc Senior year, I'd go the Physics route.

ok everyone...in case any of you are interested, i just handed in my course selection sheet today and I chose to take honors physics instead of AP Stat. I hope I'll be happy with my choice!

thanks again for all of your input :-)
