I need a credit for Stats and I was wondering if I should take it as an AP and eventually, take the exam in May, or just take it at the community college. I leafed through the Barron's AP Stats at Border's and it looked like it was written in an entirely different language with its math terminology, so I was wondering what was anyone's opinion on AP Stats and it's difficulty? I'd most likely take the course online, or self-study.

^ I have the same question.
Does anyone have any advice. My schedule for next year is full with 6 AP classes and AP Stats does not fit. Should I self study AP Statistics to take the test in May or just take it at a community college.

If you’re going to take Statistics at the Community College, the complication would be transferring the credit over to the college/university you are going to. In general, you have to fill out a transfer credit form and turn it in along with your community college transcript and possibly the syllabus of the course. Then, you have to wait for the approval.

A 4 or 5 on the AP Statistics Exam is widely accepted for course fulfillment or satisfying credit for a specific course. However, not all universities accept it, so check the university’s websites.

So, it depends on your choice. (For me, since I have taken the AP Statistics Exam, I will be using it to receive credit.)

Take the AP; it isn’t really that difficult compared to other APs, and is probably easier than a community college course.

Off-topic, but your username is inevitably going to be me starting this fall.

^ Likewise. /10char
