AP teachers upset at low scores?

if ur teachers are upset..it shows that they genuinely care about u...just like ur parents would be disappointed if u scored anything below ur standards...(of course this doesnt account for those teachers who are PAID extra for passing scores lol)

As for another theory other upset teachers, I propose they would be upset because it might mean that they are not so good teachers, and they were wrong in thinking you could get that 5.

i dont see why it matters. like i said, they have new students to worry about. maybe if they become better acquainted wih the course there will more success, not to say its soley their faults. don make urself feel guilty cuz u felt like u wasted their time and lowered their pass rate. all my eachers at my school are good teachers though so idk. im the type who is ecstatic just to get a 3 lol.

As an AP teacher myself (AB and BC Calculus) I can say that I have never been upset with a student based on their score. I know of many students who have underachieved by both my standards and their own, but I know that they're probably more upset about it than I am, considering they are the ones who paid to take the test.
Any teacher who gets upset at a student for failing a test obviously cares more about themselves and how they look than they do about their students and should probably look into anothother profession.
-also I don't see a dime for students passing, and I think that's probably best.

I hope all AP teachers think that way. Because even though I think I did really well on my tests, I'd be feel like I disappointed my teachers and that would lead to some awkwardness, since I've told two of them that I want them to write my recommendation letters.

Hell yeah! My teacher would go conservative, catholic wacko speech on me. x/

our teachers dont get anything for good AP scores and they tend to forgive bad scores although not many ppl get very bad scores..
and ppl who get 1s and 2s on the exam tend to fail the class.. so they wouldnt get an awesome recommendation no matter what..

none of our teachers care cuz they all got tenure so even if we fail they can't get fired

I'm pretty sure my teacher won't be disappointed at low scores because I can guarantee that 50% of the people who took AP World this year at my school didn't pass. Last year I heard of more than one person who got a 1. I think my teacher expected a 5 from me, because the day before the exam he patted me on the shoulder and said "Make me proud tomorrow, I know you will." I knew I wouldn't and told him so after the exam. Turns out I did pretty well. (Alas, no 5.)

I think my AP teachers would be satisfied as long as most of the class passed. I know my APUSH teacher would be a little worried if several people failed the exam. At the beginning of the year, she said, "Most people pass the AP exam. There was one year when a student got a 2. I wish I could talk to them again to find out what happened."

My bio teacher, though, was super-confident in all of us. He was one of the essay readers for the exam, and when he came back, he said that he was positive most people in the class did better than average on the essays.

My APUSH teacher is the only one I can imagine being influenced by a student's AP score, but I think only if the actual score is much lower than her expected score.
