Today during my AP Biology exam the student sitting next to me was using a ti-84 graphing calculator and multiple other students in my testing room were using scientific calculators. According to the college board website only basic 4 function calculators are permitted. The exam proctors didn’t do a calculator check and didnt confiscate the unapproved calculators. What will happen if this gets reported to college board?
Report it. Either the students intentionally cheated, or the proctor didn’t read the part about four function calculators. Either way, theyre testing violations. Do us all a favor and do the right thing.
I emailed and then called the office of testing integrity and after being on hold and leaving my name and phone number they finally called back and said it “wasn’t a matter of test security” and quickly told me to call some other number and hung up. However I feel like it’s a clear violation of test security. I was having to do my math problems on a dollar store four function calculator and others had $100 calculators which aren’t even allowed on the first section of the calculus exam.
Hey I want to report misconduct to, but I’m having trouble doing so. Can you help me? I can’t actually find a specific email or number for testing misconduct. It just happened this morning

Also, here’s a CC thread from 2011 that is very similar to your issue:
I mean yes he did break the rules but in this situation, I feel like it is a matter of impact which for the FR on this exam (I took it yesterday), didn’t really make a difference. Other than the one Hardy Weinberg question which required squaring something, calculator really wasn’t needed and having a graphing calculator really doesn’t make an impact here. Not endorsing it by any means but it seems like a waste of time to be going after it.
@hardyweinberg graphing calculators are definitely allowed in calc exams
idk what you’re saying
