Can you re-take AP tests that you did bad on years before? Wouldn't this be strategically beneficial?

You can take the tests again, I believe, but you should only take them again if you're taking the class now, or if you know for a fact that your knowledge of the subject will be more comprehensive this time, and if you're more prepared.

You should call CB to make sure.

It's going to have been 2 years since I've been in the class, but I believe with proper studying (intense studying), I can raise up a grade, does anyone have any experience with this? Do you even have to send in AP grades to colleges?

Hmm, two years? That sounds risky. But if you learn effectively without having someone walk you through the material, it might work.

Colleges do not see your AP scores. You have the option of listing them on some applications, but you don't actually send the score report until you decide which college you're attending.

if someone gets a lower score than the 1st time what score would they get?

I took the calc test twice (first time was independant study that I gave up on a month before but I had already paid for the test so...)

anyway, it just listed both scores on the score sheet so I assume that colleges will only consider the higher one.

oh, and it doesn't help you for ap awards (if they had counted it twice I would have been my state ap scholar :(
