on UCI's Freshman contract, they want me to send them all the Ap test scores, even the one I didn't pass? Do they want only 3 or above AP score to be send or all of them?

3 and above.

thank for your reply!

You need to send all your AP scores to UCI otherwise you would not be adhering to the contract. Passing or failing an AP test really makes no difference and notifying them won't do anything either. Besides, if you send one score, you will be sending all scores at once.

how do you send ap scores?

i've sent only my sat scores.

Submit an official score report for each AP exam with a result of 3 or above. Contact ETS at (609) 771-7300 or toll free in the U.S. and Canada at (888) 225-5427 to have scores sent directly to UCI. UCI's ETS code is 004859.

It will cost $15.00. You should check your Myadmissions.uci.edu as it will tell you step by step what you need to do.

thanks.

where on the myadmissions.uci.edu website does it tell me step by step? i can't seem to find that. and when do they need to be sent in by?

The Brian:

Need your ID and Application number?

It is under THINGS TO DO. When they received the AP scores, it will automatically be taken off your TO DO lists.

Check your MYTEST after one week that you request your OFFICIAL AP scores, it will indicate that they have received it. You have to check your TODO lists. It is impt. not to miss anything.

On the side note:

If you have any Perkins Loan, you should start working on it. You would need your FAFSA ID to complete your MPN (Master Promissory Note). If you have any Parent Plus Loans, make sure your parents do their part. Getting it out of the way will make your life easier.

thanks for the information.

i'll send it after i take the ap tests this may.

Does UCI care if you don't take the AP tests in Senior year? Because I know i won't pass them...haha

For Senior year, they really don't care. I know I won't pass mine, and the school I want to go to [UCSC] is still requiring me to take their entrance placement exam, so I couldn't care less if i fail the tests or not. If you are planning on taking an AP test in a course that has nothing to do with your major, I suggest putting in the effort and studying for that, so that you can kick that class off and don't have to take it in college. I suggest you should still take them, my teachers require me to take them or i have to take a final at the end of the year.. YUCK!

nevaeh:

they dont care whether you take it or not, but if you can pass them, then that is at least 8 units of elective credit in the least, which improves your window for registering for classes, which, trust me, makes a massively huge difference. So try and pass as many AP's as you can, because of the units, and the possible scholarships tied to passing a certain amount.

Well from last year I have 20 credits from 3 AP Tests, and this year I'm challenging 6 for a total of 10 this year...
I think I'll pass 5 or 6 total this year which should put me in with 50-70 credits.

Would it be realistic for me to double major mechanical engineering and business?

passing one exam is 8 units of elective credit? wouldn't that be like taking 2 classes in college? .....

pol123:

yea pretty much. you get 8 units total, now these units may only be 8 units of elective units, but that still helps you out since you can get a better window to register, while some of the tests allow you to get actual class credit and credit for electives, such as a 4 on the AP Chem test gives u 4 units of Chem 1A, 4 units of elective credits, and gets you out of the placement test for chem.
