Our public HS is implementing a new policy in which all students in AP classes are REQUIRED to take the AP test and pay a portion of the cost. Does your public HS's have a similar policy?

I dont think that is really fair for the students. I've never heard about that policy before.

Many of our students also think it is unfair. Since it is a new policy I was wondering if other schools were also doing this. Just curious what part of this do you see as unfair?

The fact that you are forced to take APs. I mean I'm completely for taking APs and stuff, but I'm quite sure that there are students out there who don't want to take aps and they should not be forced to. This could be for a variety of reasons which could include the fact that they don't feel ready for APs.

They aren't required to take AP classes, but if they choose to take an AP class they HAVE to take the AP test and also pay for a part of it.

no, i havnt heard any other schools doing that. haha im in 4 aps and im only taking the ap art test...which is actually a lot of work

Oh. well, still I don't think that students should be forced into something that they may not be ready for.
