AP Tests

Would there be any benefit to taking the AP Gov and AP Lang exams or repercussions for not doing so? I am mostly undecided on AP Gov because I'm not quite prepared for it, and no one wants to pay 105 dollars for a test that they're unlikely to succeed in.

I’m not taking any of mine (I have 5, but if our school took credits I’d also take the Latin test since I’m in Latin 4, so that would have been $522!).

I think we’ll be okay. Why take expensive tests that won’t help us? It’s learning the material that matters.

Mudd doesn’t accept AP scores for anything other than AP Statistics (and maybe not even that with the new core? I haven’t been keeping track…), so it’s not worth your money if you’re certain that you’re coming here. The AP exam could be good practice for Mudd’s placement exams (in the case of math, chemistry or physics), but otherwise there are no repercussions for not taking it. There is no point whatsoever in taking AP Gov or Lang.
