Senior AP Exams worth it?

I'm taking AP Calc, AP Gov't, AP Econ, AP Physics, and AP English Lit. Plus French 4 Honors.
By the time the examination days arrive, I would have already sent my application and gotten a response from all the colleges I applied to plus getting ready to choose the college that I have been accepted into.

Anyway, back to the question, I'm planning to take AP gov't because I hear it's super easy but also AP Physics, Calc, and English lit to keep me motivated throughout the year. But does it really matter if I fail or pass or get a 5 on these exams when everything is over by the May and the scores come out July? Should I not even study for the AP exams but just try to stay in that class and get A's for the semesters?

One of the purposes of AP exams is to get college credit for undergraduate coursework.

Ok well then what about those classes that are not required in college. It would be a waste of money and time to take those tests then right?

Probably…but do you know what college you’re going to?

I’m pretty much in the same boat as you…took AP Stats and AP Chemistry exams, in which MIT accepts neither. I didn’t mind taking the tests, the problem was that it cost $174 to take them.

Move to FL! We don’t personally have to pay for them here, the school pays for them.

Actually it might be saving you money. A $70 exam to become exempt from a college class is pretty sweet, because college classes are definitely more than 70 bucks so it is money well spent.
