AP Tests

Hey, I was wondering about Emory’s policies on AP tests. Currently I have all 4s and 5s on Ap World, Ap US History, Ap Calc AB, and Ap English Language.

I am currently in Ap Stats, Ap Calc BC, Ap Econ, Ap Comp Sci, and Ap English Literature. Which of these ap tests can I get credit for? I think I heard somewhere that I cannot get credit for more than one English class, but I’m not completely sure. Can I get credit for calculus as well as stats? What does an AP credit in Comp Sci count towards? Thanks guys.

Google emory ap.

4 and 5 gives credit

Right, I know. I am questioning the specific classes like Computer Science and whether they go towards your GER or if they take more than one year of English.

anybody else? I have to sign up for them by this week.

they will give you 4 credit hours of credit for all of them except calc BC. You’ll get 8 hours for that (the equivalent of calc 1 and 2). You can only get credit for English Language OR English Literature, not both. Feel free to take the second English test, but you won’t get Emory credit for it.

I should say that this is how I remember it, but you should google Emory AP credit to be sure. They give a test-by-test breakdown that will tell you what class you’ll get credit for. In most cases, they will just satisfy GREs. Most majors won’t take 100-level classes as credit towards the major (some exceptions, obviously), and AP tests give credit for lower-level classes typically.
