***AP U.S. HISTORY 2015***

How long after the exam are we allowed to post answers?

I cant find were the answers to the released practice test are. Does know were they are and could provide a link? Also would like a score breakdown if anyone has it. I would think that 28/55 on multiple choice and good essays would= 3, 42/55 and good essays would equal=4 and 48+/55 and good essays would = 5 but that just a guess.

If anyone could give me some advice it would be highly appreciated!! I took 3 practice exams, first I took the one released by the college board and got a 41/55 then I took one in the Princeton review book got a 37 and after some more studying I took the second Princeton practice test and got a 32… I’ve been doing great in the class all year rarely getting below an A on any quizzes and tests and I’ve been aiming for a 4 possibly maybe 5 because I do enjoy the class also, but I don’t understand how I can be getting worse every time I take one… Any advice would be great!!

@mglo56 how did you score the college board one?

@mglo56 - Most of the time the ones given to you by College Board is a little harder than the actual AP test, and the ones in the book are easier, however it honestly depends on the things you’ve learned throughout the year and what you can put out onto paper from your brain.

is the REA crash course test online any good?

Any curve predictions?

Do you guys have any suggestions for writing DBQs? My teacher has not given us one all semester nor has he even given us a test. I keep trying to write them, but I think they suck, and I can never finish all five paragraphs.

@mglo56 yeah how did you get the answers??

A couple of questions:

-What exactly is it asking you to do when in a DBQ it says “Analyze this…”? What would be a thesis statement in this example?

  • Is the point of the DBQ to convice the reader about a certain point in history? In the prompt: To what extent did X affect Y. Should my DBQ an essay arguing whether X was crucial or trivial to Y supported by the documents?
  • How do you approach a promp that is asking for two things. Prompt: To what extent did X affect Y. Evaluate Z during this time period. Is it wrong if I put Z in my conclusion?

I am lost with the DBQs :frowning: my teacher sucks

@jhgong
I found the answers by copying the questions into google. People have made quizlet cards with the answers. I’m not 100% sure how reliable they are.

@jhgong My teacher printed it out and gave it to my class as practice, so I’m not sure.

I’ve been reading the Princeton Review 2015 summary and its been pretty good. In school we are currently on Bill Clinton and young bush, so we are in good hands with that.

I am really nervous about this because I do not know the grading breakdown. Hoping for a 5.

Yeah, I agree, the released 19 multiple choice questions are too easy.

I don’t know guys, but I’m just hopeing one of the long essays is on reformers or foreign policy, since those two are the parts I know about the most. My teacher said there is always a minority essay on the test such as African Americans, Women, etc. She said she predicts on of theM is going to be about women or native Americans. I’m not sure how confident she is, but she’s been pretty good at guessing past dbq and essay topics.

In the official CB APUSH practice test they released this year, the long essay questions both asked how something “contributed to maintaining continuity and fostering change”…does anyone know what they mean specifically by this??

@azhang40 where can I find this official practice test that you speak of?

Also what other official practice resources are available?

Can someone post the answer key for the practice test

@devanche12 only teachers have it. I took the practice test and remember some of the answers

@SnowCookie i’m using apushreview.com  and the cirriculum framework to review. Also using learnerator for practice stuff(multiple choice questions)
