I doubt that we would have to memorize obscure battles for the new AP Exam. I feel like if there were battles we need to know, we would intuitivly know them as we’ve been taught certain ones since 1st grade (like gettysburg or DDay)
Yeah I still haven’t found any answers to the released practice exam yet either
I closely examined the Official Course Description by the College Board. Many answers for the 2015 released exam. can be found from the content. It is also a great summary of the topics. Good resource. Has a short sample test with answer key as well.
As May 8th ominously approaches, I figure we should use this thread to discuss, strategize, etc.
I’ll start the first question: Should I study the specific battles that took place within wars? For example, the Battle of Long Island (American Rev), or any other battles (which are currently out of my mind) that took place in the War of 1812, Civil War, etc. ??
How are you guys planning on preparing for the new MC questions & the short answers? I’m just watching Adam Norris for the period summaries and reviewing last years crash course book.
The new MCQ questions are not that much harder in relation to the previous version. Many say, at least in my schol, that it is easier due to the context provided before answering the questions.
@baller55 I agree with @CHD2013 - the Adam Norris videos are amazing. Since we’re getting pressed for time (Three. Days.), I suggest watching the final review videos. That’s what I’m doing… There are two of them, and they’re updated for the redesigned exam!
Also, I just saw the two review vids by Norris and thought they were pretty good. I’ll re watch them Thursday; I’m ⅔ done with the Barron’s and wanna finish it by tonight. I have the crash course also and am taking a practice multiple choice tomorrow in class.
