AP units

I have several questions, I'm confused about AP exam credit.
(if it matters, I have a 5 on the AP U.S. Govt/Politics exam, and a 5 on the AP Calc (AB) exam.)

1) Do the AP credit go into the 60 transferable units you're supposed to take at your CCC? If so how much do they get you?

2) Do I still need to take a math class from the IGETC area 2?

My CCC's website is frustratingly confusing and hard to navigate, I can't find any information about this...

You will get unit credits for those AP exams that go toward the 60 units. How many units depends on exactly which class it fulfills at your CC and how many units that class is allotted at your CC. You will not need to take a math class for the quantitative section of the IGETC.

Keep in mind though, that if your intended major has any of those two classes as a pre-req it would be in your best interest to take the class and get a good grade instead of fulfilling the class using AP credit. Them seeing a grade for that class would make you more competitive.
