AP US Gov or AP Comp Gov?

What is the difference? Is their a difference in difficulty? Could you post your scores for the exams you have taken?

US Gov. focuses on United States government, while Comparative focuses on select countries and compares them.

The person above me explained the difference well. Comparative countries include UK, Russia, China, Mexico, Nigeria, Iran and I might be missing one. The Comparative test, in my opinion, was a lot harder, however there tends to be a better curve on it to compensate.

@dreads - No, you didn’t miss one.

From the College Board site: “Six countries form the core of the AP Comparative Government and Politics course. China, Great Britain, Mexico, Nigeria, and Russia are all regularly covered in college-level introductory comparative politics courses. The inclusion of Iran adds a political system from a very important region of the world and one that is subject to distinctive political and cultural dynamics.”

so it’s sort of like the ‘World History- U.S History’ connection?

thanks for these helpful posts
