Hey guys, I'm taking AP US Gov, and my teacher sucks. I'm really worried about the AP exam since I have 4 others to take, and I don't want to be cramming for something like this. My question is, what are the best strategies for studying this? Should I start reading the actual text in We The People, or just AP review books?

I had a really bad AP US History teacher, and I would say 80% of the people who took it didn’t even get 3s. I was really disappointed because this was the first year they opened AP classes to 10th graders, and my grade isn’t stupid, we just never learned anything that was actually on the test. Our teacher spent the year telling stories (which were honestly really good) about people in our text book but never the significance of events or significance of the people. Honestly if you have ever used study island their practice tests are pretty similar to actual AP class exams and are a pretty good tool for studying for the final exam, once you get tired with that start using those study skills these classes are supposed to teach you, go beyond the homework and study. Don’t cram, cramming never works. But study all year long, try to find practice exams or exercises online, talk to people who have done good on the exam, and don’t stress about it. That kills so many people in AP classes. Your obviously in it for a reasons so use your wits and you’ll do fine
