what amendment are you referring to? I feel like they wouldn’t include a trick like that…would be pretty difficult to remember that specific one… if you’re talking about title IX, i just googled it and seems like it was passed. maybe you’re talking about ERA
@shiftydraw I think you are right ! i searched it up again and I think I was thinking of the ERA not title IX (which was the document ) Thanks !!
Q2: I said their differences were that the Spaniards mixed with the natives and created a mestizo populace while the English usually stayed separate. Can’t remember what I put for similarities.
Q3: I used Rockefeller and Carnegie.
Q4: I used Stamp Act, Proclamation of 1763, and Quebec Act.
so is the Jackson one experimental? does that mean its not counting?
For Q3, part B I mentioned that Rockefeller actually paid his workers higher than most and therefore didn’t act with complete immorality when it came to business. I’m just now realizing I might not get credit for that response. Can anybody tell me if they think that fits in with the development, event, or person criteria?
@neptuna yea that should count… I don’t see why it wouldn’t fit as a person/event?
I’m pretty sure the Jackson prompt was experimental.
I swear part C focused on Josephson’s interpretation because I specifically remember talking about Ida Tarbell and her fight against Standard Oil last. If I mixed them up on the actual test…
EDIT: I did mix them up. I remember seeing I wrote for part C first by accident and stupidly corrected my writing of a C to a B without even thinking. I hope the AP reader understands.
I accidentally included some wrong evidence in my essay. I chose World War I but wrote that Wilson met with Churchill at the Paris peace conference when fdr was the one who met with Churchill in world war 2. I also confused neautrality acts and Arsenal of democracy since we were neautral and wrote it as world war1! But I did have leage of nations treaty of Versailles and how Wilson kept us out of the war at first but then we got involved and it showed we drifted away form washingtons advice to avoid foreign alliances and entanglements epspecially European entanglements. I didn’t have enough time so my essay was short but I wrote that we went from isolationism to getting involved and the. Again in Cold War and Vietnam to contain communism. My essay was only 1 and a half pages not front and back. What do you thing the highest score is that I can get? I’m so upset because I knew so much more too but I ran out of time and was so nervous that I couldn’t think straight. Thanks!
@peacelove77 honestly I don’t think your score will be that high You’ll probably get points for synthesis and thesis, but maybe not any for the strength of your argument since you have a few mistakes and your essay was so short. Don’t worry, though. You can do poorly on one part and do well on others (such as DBQ, multipe choice, etc.) that can get you a 5.
@tupac4 Thanks! So you think I can get a 3
Or a 2 on that essay? I’m pretty confident about everything else maybe 40/55 at least on the multiple choice but I think I did better than that and at least 6/7 on DBQ and 12/12 on saqs. Do you think I could get a 5 with that? I may have done even better on DBQ and multiple choice.
I tend to do a worst-case scenario analysis on my scores. Doing one on yours gives a low 4, which is your bare minimum (good sign). If you actually got 40/12/6 on MCQ/SAQ/DBQ, then even a 2 on Long Essay could get you a 5 depending on curve. If you get 7 DBQ, then you’re pretty much guaranteed a 5, even if you miss extra on the MCQs. I’d say you have a pretty good chance.
Thank you so much I really appreciate it! @speck24812
Would it have been okay if I inserted carrots/^ and substituted “+” for “and” in all my written responses?
@steviegee1147 Sorry for the late reply. My DBQ was about the New Deal and how it brought about change to the federal government’s position in America.
Did anyone else have that same prompt? I only know of two other people at my school who got that one (on the west coast here, not sure if that matters)
For number 3 on the short answer, could social darwinism support the ideas of the guy who was pro-Captain of Industry? He talked about success through hardwork so I immediately connected it with social darwinism
@lamebridge Do you remember what form version you had? Everyone I know got the women’s rights movement DBQ.
@lamebridge about half of my class had the New Deal DBQ too
(we’re on the east coast )
I’m international and I got the easiest DBQ in the world: explain the causes for the development of slavery. I started crying.
