We are in the 1970s.
I’ve started reviewing for this class! I finished the curriculum around three weeks ago since my school uses a block system (basically I had 90-hour APUSH classes for two quarters, one in fall and one in spring). My target is to study around three periods a week.
I don’t know if I’ll get a 5 this time since I’m busy with other things, but I hope I do since I really want to impress my APUSH teacher.
Y’all seem to be at a decent pace. Are any of you planning on studying present-day material? It covers 5% of the test so I’m not sure if it’s worth reviewing.
I’m starting the Cold War era.
I started reviewing earlier this month and I’m already tired of it to be quite honest. I actually forgot a lot more than I expected, so the extra studying is really cutting into my time and stressing me out. I wish I started earlier! But oh well, at least I’ve learned my lesson.
I probably won’t review the present day just because I took a few practice tests from the College Board and was able to guess correctly and easily on what I hadn’t yet learned. 5% means there will be only be around three multiple choice questions on it, so I personally don’t think it’s worth it. I’d rather use that time to study other eras.
We just finished the Cold War, Counterculture, Vietnam War, etc.
My APUSH class is finishing Period 8. My plan for present-day is just to get the major info down.
Son’s class had their last textbook quiz yesterday - they are up to 1990. The teacher is skipping the last chapter of the book.
For the next 3 1/2 weeks they will be focusing on the AMSCO, having daily assignments and quizzes to review for the exam.
My class is going over present day now.
@Greninja o.O my school also uses the block system but we’re only almost done with Reagan/Carter
@Greninja @tagi1998 We have the block system and we just started Carter, so I mean… if anyone’s screwed, it’s me!
Our class is currently on the 60s. Aside from our class periods, our teacher is holding review sessions every week where we sit for about 2 hours, just watching Adam Norris youtube review videos. I’m not sure how this method will work, but I really hope/wish to pass at least with a 4. However I was really busy this school year with other hard classes and have been neglecting this class a little bit
Dang! How is everyone else going over Reagan/current day right now? We’re barely finishing the 60s… Am I screwed? Lol
We just finished new material on Friday. Now it’s review time!
We’re skipping Unit 9, we didn’t get to the very end of Unit 8… W’re have to prepare a comprehensive review and we do APUSH theme-based activities in class.
To be honest I’m not disappointed or sarcastic right now
Hi! Which flashcards did you purchase?
Just as a reminder, there’s always Quizlet sets that people have done for basically every textbook out there.
How many MC questions(out of 55) can I miss to score a 4 or 5e on the new exam? Thank you!
My school seems to be pretty behind compared to everyone else. We’re on the 1960s. I know Period 9 isn’t ever focused on in the DBQ or long essay, but does anyone know if ever comes up as a short answer? If so, I’m screwed.
The AMSCO book is great. That is all you need to pass the exam.
How long does it take to finish the book? How do you recommend preparing for the essays?
I’ve accomplished nothing post school day Friday…help
