Ap Us History

is it easy to pass the AP US HISTORY test? ive had a really horrible teacher and i literally havent opened my book and dont know anything about US history. the names only sound familiar. is it too late to start studying and hope to pass? or should i just accept my 1 or 2 and not study...help!!!!

must be an easy class. get a book. barrons.

Get a review book...study that. If you study that, then that is probably the best chances you have of getting a better score than your 1 or 2. If you already signup for your AP exam, then this is your best shot! Good luck.

no no no no no no no no ! Don't get barrons for AP US History! get anything else other than Kaplan!

Dang. I got Kaplan. Is it really that bad? What would you recommend?

Princeton Review is a very good book for studying AP US history. its really thorough and well-explained.

AP US shouldnt be hard. i only took it since they dont offer normal US History here, :-P

I suggest you try catching up on your reading. It's tough when you fall behind on that. If you're too far behind, at least try skimming through your textbook. My teacher recommended the REA prep book. It has pretty good summaries and a generous amount of practice tests.

get AMSCO.

I've been recommended it... but Amazon doesn't have it and neither do the local bookshops. :(

that book was a godsend for me...got a 5.

OH WHOOPS! HAHA SOWWY! I THOUGHT IT WAS SAT ii US HISTORY

AMSCO = John Newman's Preparing for the Advanced Placement US History Examination

that might help a bit in your search for the book, particularly on amazon.com.

I bought mine from half.com (Amsco)

Is AP US History exam same/harder/easier/different than SAT II US History. If different please tell differences. Thanks

My teacher is also horrible! But I've bee too lazy to study on my own. I'm so used to being given good notes and just memorizing them. But (as others have already told you) the Amsco review book is really good. It has helped me. I'm not giving up hope.. lol. I'm still aiming for at least a 3 on the exam. Just buy the book and start memorizing things from the beginning. It's not too late if you get serious about it. That's what I keep telling myself :-) Good luck!

would anyone recommend taking the SAT II US History the same week (May) just in case I screw up the AP?

or is the SAT II harder...?

Vintor, I'm planning on taking the SAT II US History in May because I'm also taking the AP exam that week. Might as well. I'll be studying for it anyway. And I think the SAT II might not be as hard. I was looking at some multiple choice questions in Collegeboard.com and they seemed to be pretty straight-forward.

a book should be published with all AP US questions, since they reuse questions every so often. =D

"why does christopher colombus..." OH, i know the answer already. haha

www.invadersrealm.com

go to AP US HISTORY there are notes of every chapter

also apstudent.com has note cards

yea so should i read every chapter in the actual text book or should i just read REA? would that be enough?
