What are some great movies to aid in prepping for AP US?

The only ones I know so far:

The Patriot
Schindler's List
Pearl Harbor

Any movies that a girl might be interested in and not fall asleep through?

u know some of these movies are histocially very wrong and on top of that, it will not aide u in APUSH. it may, to a very small extent. but to name some,

Braveheart

The Lost Batallion?

My teacher told my class that Platoon is the most realistic Vietnam movie and We Were Soldiers is good too.
In class, we watched Glory (Civil War).
The HBO mini-series John Adams is great, too.

ya mine too^^

anyways what was the first state under popular sovereignty?

^^ i am not quite sure, but it was a major issues with the Kansas Nebraska bill and in the Compromise of 1850 with Utah and New Mexico.

Kind of stupid. But, you learn it.

why not watch that sam adams or john adams or w/e show on HBO

it looks lame (this is coming from a girl's POV...).

watching movies won't help. How can the drama/violence depicted in The Patriot help you in understanding the Revolutionary War at an AP level? Just go review each time period instead of wasting your time on movies. To tell you the truth, the best way to pass an AP test is to actually read the textbook and pay attention in class instead of trying to cram all the material at the last minute. NOTE: I got a 5 on APUSH.

watching movies helps in preparing for the AP exam?

interesting.

Coming from a girl's POV John Adams is extremely entertaining! But mind you, this girl is probs gonna end up majoring in history :D

And yeah... I don't know how much just watching movies will help you study for the test... but they are nice breaks from constant page flipping!

So what movies are regarded as the most historically accurate? [And entertaining.]

Iron Jawed Angels [or something like that. Hilary Swank starred in it]

Talks a lot about Alice Paul and women's suffrage
