AP US History

Hey, so I'm getting really confused. About how many mc correct (raw score) do you need to get to get a 4? I've heard that half the multiple choice, raw score of 40, is about a 3. This is not counting the essays. Anyone know the math on calculating us history scores?

frq: score on each x 2.75
dbq: score x 4.5
mc: raw score, after subtracting .25 for each incorrect answer, x 1.125

i think a 4 is like 92-115 ish range...somewhere around there

wow... so that's pretty amazing...if you get a little more than half on the multiple choice, with 5's on all essays, you still end up with a 4.

lol i just calculated

50 right and 30 wrong on MC

4s on all essays

= 4 that just made my confidence go up

How much are the essays out of?

paki that would give you a 3...maybe you're not subtracting the .25x wrong answer penalty?

yeah ur right......how easy is it to get a 4 on the essays?

Raw Score of 53 (58 right, 2 omitted, 20 wrong)
DBQ: 6 (out of 9)
Essay:5 (out of 9)
Essay: 5 (out of 9)

= 5

really easy... to get a 4. For instance, in your DBQ if you don't even include any outside information, you can end up with a 4 (max that is) maybe a 5, but I doubt it. i think I'm gonna focus on essays from now on, for today. I keep getting exactly 40 raw score for my mc, so the only way i can end up with a 4 is with my essays.

^ lol making my confidence go up.

that's good paki...just dont bs your way through...lol. I mean you have to have some legitimate info written down. I would suggest that in every essay try to mention atleast 5 major things, like Acts, presidents, important people. That's honestly how im studying. Taking the most common time periods and writing down 5-10 things that I can remember, and hopefully I can recall them on the essays.

Hey- What do you guys think are the most possible essay questions that are going to be asked?
Here is mine:
I mean I know you can't really predict exactly, but I can guarantee that there will be a question during the 19th century, either Jackson -20's, slaver/territorial expansion- 40-50's, Cultural (Romantic-Transcendental-Great Awakening Era) - 30's, & perhaps Guilded Age - 80's-90's. Im sure they can make up more from the time period, but these I think would be the most common.
What do you guys think?

yeahh probly im just reviewing notecards, AMSCO, and cram packet.

i made outlines for every essay question in AMSCo and if u did that yass
ull be in good shape.
