What book should I use to prepare?

Are you taking the course or just the test? (if you are taking the course what textbook are you using?)
I used the practice tests in the Princeton review to prepare last year, those are really helpful because they’re as close as you can get to actually taking it- but you get to check your answers and see where you need to study. You can usually get a used one on amazon for less than 10 bucks. Also WRITE ESSAYS! My AP World teacher had us write over 30 essays over the course of the year and I must say I’m glad he did. Over 60 people from my school took that AP last year and as far as I know less than 10 of us didn’t get a 5.

I have a teacher but she isn’t that great… Last year, about 10 out of 60 people PASSED.
I can’t remember the exact textbook we use, but it is massive and has tiny print.

i HIGHLY suggest 5 steps to a 5. last year i was hopeless at world history and was my worst class (i didn’t even think i could get a 3!) but my teacher made us get 5 steps and it was amazing. the book separates history into 5 distinct time periods and splits those up into smaller chapters. each chapter has only the most important info, taking out all the fluff, and includes review questions at the end of each ch to make sure you understood everything. at the end of each time period, the book includes a chart that compares all the civilizations to each other to help write essays (especially change over times). that book became my bible the few weeks before the test, i read it many times and memorized everything. it also comes with a few practice tests with questions that are actually harder and more detailed than the ap so you go in MORE prepared. it was because of this book that i got a five on the ap and a 99 on the regents. buy this review book!!!

YOU HAVE TO USE PRINCETON REVIEW FOR AP WORLD HISTORY. No really, the PR is almost as perfect for WH as the Amsco is for US.
