AP World Essays (Thesis question)

I was wondering if there are any differences from writing AP history essays vs. english essays. For example, I thought in english, the purpose is to address three aspects of the topic to prove one's perspective on a topic. (ex. should students be required to take gym...(no) thesis: 1.,2.,3. and then use those as supports.

However, to achieve a decent score on ap essays, the format is like completely different. For example, in ap world compare and contrast essays, is the format like:

Intro/Thesis (Compare 1 similar topic, 1 different)

Similar
3.Different

Conclusion

And how are the formats for DBQ's/Change Over Time? Thanks.

Acquire Princeton Review AP World History or Barron’s. They both explain this in detail. I found Princeton Review to more clear and concise when it came to the essays. Ultimately, I followed PR’s guidelines when it came to writing the actually FRQs. Barron’s is still great for a more detailed review of world history, though. Good luck!
