There has been some pretty big variations, but 83+ is always a 5 and 50+ is always a 3. Also, with CollegeBoard eliminating the guessing penalty this year, we could see the cut scores rise by about 4 points, but the CCOT scores were abysmal (approx. 1.3/9 national average), so the cut scores could remain about the same. I am hoping your teachers (including me) will have the scores tomorrow. Good luck.

^ What?! 1.3 average on an essay? I could definitely see myself getting a 5 then. I don’t want to raise my hopes too much just in case, I’ll just have to wait for the scores.

Gaah I want scores to come already! The compare essay was my worst by far but a 1 average on the CCOT? Can you share the averages on the other essays with us?

Yup, I am one of those who bombed the CCOT. In fact, I left it blank. My body chose to get sick on the day of the test, so I had a difficult time concentrating and only finished two essays. Blah!

However, I think I did really well on the essays I completed, and I’m confident about my multiple choice score, so maybe I can get away with at least a 3? I’ll be waiting for my score to come through the mail.

I went into the test thinking I would do my best for 9 on the DBQ since it would be the easiest and only do 1 other essay before I ran out of time/or wouldn’t know what to talk about in one other essay. But I still had time even after the first two essays and knew some stuff to finish all my essays.

Teachers are allowed to release the grades to the students, right? Apparently my daughter’s teacher isn’t releasing grades. All he said was, “You will be pleased to know that you have earned college credit with most colleges and universities :-).”

That’s a bit vague to me. We kind of knew she wouldn’t get lower than a 3, but were hoping for a 4. This response sounds like it could go either way.

Wow, my score came in the mail way earlier than I was expecting it to! I got a 3, which is pretty good considering my circumstances. Still useless for most of the universities I want to go to, but oh well. :)

Yay first AP exam for me was a 5. Got a 5 on the AP World and a 750 on the SAT World. That makes me jumping for joy happy.
By the wy, love he PR. Thugh the essays were so differentin the way the questions were asked. You never have to write and explain howsome vocab words are connected… Oh well. As long as it helped (… although I skipped the essay part). I don’t even remember if there were practice tests . I hink there were. I justforgot how I did on them.
