Excuse my language but I seriously have a crap a** APWH teacher, and we basically didn't do anything all year. I pushed off studying till last week (big mistake, I know), and I don't think it's enough.. The test is on Thursday and at this point I don't even think there's a point to any further cramming.

So is anyone else planning on failing? I can get a 2 no problem, but it will be a miracle if I even get a 3. A 5 is totally out of the question.

Any last minute advice or tips? I'm freaking out. Well there goes $89 down the drain..

Read the prep book and practice previous essay prompts.

I haven’t studied at all and I’m not worried.

@SwaggyC great that makes me feel so much better

WHich the best book to be preffere, Pricton? Barrons? Crash Course? ^:)^

My (awesome + AP grader) WHAP teacher told us to get McGraw-Hill’s 5 Steps. I’m not really a fan of Crash Course, as much as I love John Green- he goes too fast and deviates from the topic with jokes, etc.

@SippingCoffee If you knew your teacher sucked and your just starting to do something idk what to say tbh

I’m taking the test too! I like the Barron’s because it really reviews everything from the year. If you’re on a time crunch, then use 5 steps for a 5- it’s more big-picture.
I find that taking practice MC tests really helps, as AP recycles a ton of the same type of questions. It’s a lot of reading comprehension, big picture stuff more than the little details like you get in APUSH. If you have the time, also review past essay topics, and try writing all three within the allotted time, just to get a feel for working through all three essays at once.
Best of luck!!

@SwaggyC is right.YOU should’ve supplemented ur cruddy teacher’s lessons with useful and helpful materials throughtout the year. CC would’ve been even more helpful if you were EARLY.Follow my advice when your taking jr./sr. AP tests and courses, otherwise the low scores might deter colleges.

Yea well obviously I’ve realized my mistake; I didn’t come here to get repeatedly lectured.

We can do it…maybe

I did very well on the Barron’s and 2013 exam but then absolutely tanked one of the Princeton review exams. Confidence lost

@batman9 Yea, I’ve heard the Princeton practice tests are known to be pretty hard… I tanked it too :(

@SippingCoffee maybe that’s the idea? Over prepares you? I hope. Have you taken the exam from last year? Since that was when they first started going heavy on passage questions (I think), it’s our best practice for the exam. In my opinion, the passages are a lot easier than the strictly factual questions, the only problem is time. I finished with a minute to spare and many not at all

I would take the practice exams that college board has posted

NEVERMIND guys, that was actually way easier than I thought haha

Yeah I way over studied. I reckon >60 mc and total of 21 essays. How about you?

Which is harder, World History or Comp Gov and how close are they related? If I were to do reasonably well on Comp Gov (Say get a 4-5), how well would I do on World History without any extra studying?
