I am about to take AP World History next year as a sophomore and am wondering whether I should do some before hand studying in the summer… I mean, is it worth spending the time and money? Most of my friends say the class is pretty hard.

I read the outlines for the textbook the night before the exam (stayed home and up all night) and got a 5. I didn’t take the class, either. So basically, I wouldn’t study during the summer unless you really want to.

If you enjoy history, go for it. I could see it being really challenging if you dislike history or have a poor background in it though.

I don’t know man, I’d just take the test and skip the class. These AP classes do look good for college because they’re challenging and it’s weighted but the secret is that you could spend 1 week cramming without the class and get college credit if you know what you’re doing.
