Yay!!! got a five!!!
Got a 5! Self studied
never got above 50/70 on the multiple choice
for my dbq, I rewrote the documents in my own words
for my c+c, i wrote everything i remembered from sparknotes a tale of two cities (didnt even read the book in english)
for my ccot, i wrote about columbus coming to america and some more bs, even though it was totally the wrong period
i always copy notes for completion in history, i’m really lazy.
still got a 5; how is this even graded?
Test must have had incredibly easy curve then @thetex
Also. For some reason, when at logged in through my college board account, my score was automatically present. I didn’t even have to identify my Student Code that was given during the seminar for the test. Is this because I took the SAT Bio a year ago so the College Board was already able to identify me ? Just want to clarify because I want to make sure I got the right score
yeah, i didnt use my ap# either. i already used the cb acc for SAT 1.
ap tests are curved??
Yeah the curve is dependent upon how others do in the nation compared to you on the test. Easier tests have harder curves. Likewise, harder tests have easier curves.
4 not bad. dbq screwed me over.
I checked yesterday with a VPN. I got a 5.
@ZeroxShinobi Actually according to @AP_Trevor 's twitter there aren’t any curves on any of the ap exams.
Also does anyone know why for me next “Your Score” for World History there’s two little dashes and under it says “In process - Code 96”??
I got a 5! I was super confident about the MC and DBQ. But then I didn’t see economic until 10 minutes before the exam ended :O. And I made a comparison that wasn’t quite right for French vs American revolution lmao I was so worried for nothing. BTW, download Purdue browser on your phone to see your score early. Worked yesterday (7/5) for me in Atlanta, I was supposed to get it Friday 6/8
no, because this is my first ap and that happened to me too! whatevs
OMG!Same, I saw economics 15min before the test ended Lmao. So I ran out of time to do the contrast between American and I believe haitian revolution. I received a 4. But it’s fine.
Hi guys! I see many of you received 4’s and 5’s on your ap world exams, good job!
When I opened my score yesterday, I was completely shocked bc i received a 3 on my ap world history exam. My AP teacher is an incredibly good teacher, teaching world for over 7 years and being an AP grader. Our class was really difficult with few people earning A’s, and I was one. I never earned below a 7 on my essays and always scored an 80% or higher on my multiple choice. I easily scored a 5 on my practice ap exam with no prior studying. And i was pretty confident walking out of the exam because i thought the multiple choice was easy and i thought i at least scored a 5 avg on my essays (bare minimum for a 5 on ap pass with 70% avg mc) and a 9 on my dbq. We reviewed the essay questions in class and I found that my teacher agreed with what I wrote down. I am going to send in for a rescore, even though there is a slim chance they made some mistake. Its really hard for my to accept my score. Any advice?
Sorry if this question has already been answered. What would be the cause to have CB re-score the test? Were there issues with it? What could be a downside to have the test re-scored?
Guys use Puffin browser and you can see your score today, no matter when it becomes available officially! I live in Atlanta and saw it yesterday. 5 here!
@dogluvaaa Woah that must be super shocking! Have you read essays from the previous years? I realized that the readers tend to favor wordier essays in a particular style that I can’t quite explain without referencing them. Also, my teacher was giving us the wrong advice, so I made sure I thoroughly explained each document so it didn’t seem like I was copying (which he didn’t tell us). He also didn’t include that the the thesis MUST be supported thoroughly in the introductory paragraph. Additionally, I included lots of examples which I analyzed deeply and compared thoroughly. Try to remember if you might have not done a few of these (which can knock you down several points). If not, I’m sorry but I have no clue. Keep me posted on that rescore
@Kam_walker12 lol it was super common at my school. Unfortunately, it seemed like everyone caught it with 20-40 minutes left. It was fine though, just a few tweaks on how each reason tied into the economy and I was golden. Plus, I write extremely quickly
@PartoftheHamFam thank you! My teacher and other world history teachers made their own scoring guidelines for this year’s test and I thought I pretty much had everything they mentioned. I made sure all my theses was an analytical one, which is also outside the core 7 points. I thought I made extra cross culture and time period connections to also earn myself points outside the core and I thought I did everything to earn the core points. Hopefully the rescore goes well, but if not i guess i have to accept it. I’ve also heard that graders tend to get tired of reading essays over and over again so not sure what happened! I’ll keep you posted.
