I heard the LEQ would be on the migrations of people, however I really do not know; that is just a rumor. I would love any info you may have!
Hi all. I am new to this thread. How are you guys feeling? It is officially the week of the exam! I think I have prepared pretty well; I am just worried about the frqs because there is just so much material! How are you all preparing?
I was wondering if anyone has any predictions about essay topics on the 2017 AP world exam?
I attended my (amazing) teacher’s mock test session last friday which was 3 hours. I did ok, not so good on the multiple choice (32/55), but my teacher said it’s really good and above average for our school’s history of taking the test (in which 90% didn’t pass). But I did do extremely well on the essays (or at least, would’ve, if I didn’t eat so much pizza). I knew exactly what to write and I was a fast writer, but I was super slow and stuffed during the mock test so I didn’t make much effort to go on writing by the time that the time was up.
One word to describe my readiness on this exam… screwed! I don’t know how to write a DBQ yet… neither an LEQ. I know the general format but I’ve never written an entire one My teacher’s pass rate was the lowest at our school and that says a lot of things. I am hoping for a 4 so hopefully an easy exam.
Hmm… I don’t think I did too well.
Just took it, and I found the free responses super hard
The MC was easier than I expected
@bway5492
Turns out your “rumour” was true lol
I thought it was pretty “meh”.
Like the MC was about what I expected, SAQ two easy, one medium, one hard. LEQ I chose the one I knew more about. Overall, just medium. No easier no harder.
Did we all take different test? Bc I can’t relate to any of the memes lol
Form O here. I though MC was kind of difficult, while for the SAQs, I either knew it or I didn’t. DBQ and LEQ were really easy for me - I’m super confident on those! Hoping for a 4
I got Form O as well. Even though I’ve done well on past MC practice tests, the MC on the actual exam made me question my knowledge a lot. However, I thought I did very well on all the written portions so I’m expecting a 4 (worst case scenario is a 3 if I bomb MC).
I got Form M and I think I did pretty bad on the MC. When we did a mock exam, I finished 15 minutes before the time limit, but today I finished 5 minutes before. SAQ was the easiest part in the whole exam. DBQ was mehh; I’d rather have the same prompt on LEQ. LEQ I bsed. Expecting a 2.
Also Form O. I didn’t really have any difficulties (except for one of the SAQs) and I thought the LEQ was too easy. The DBQ took me a while to understand and took up quite a bit of time (about 65-70 minutes). My guess for what I got on each section would probably be:
Multiple Choice: 40ish/55
SAQ 1: 1/3 maybe a 0 lol
SAQ 2: 2/3
SAQ 3: 3/3
SAQ 4: 3/3
DBQ: 4 or 5/7
LEQ: 6/6
overall im hoping for a 4 or 5
Form O: The Multiple choice was kind of hard for me. It made me second guess my knowledge a lot. The SAQ’s were really easy. The DBQ was easy and I think mine was good but I was running out of time so I only wrote like one sentence contextulization and synthesis. The LEQ was easy however my essay was probably really crappy because I only had like 5 minutes left. >:P
Predictions:
Multiple Choice: 30/55
SAQ 1: 3/3
SAQ 2: 3/3
SAQ 3: 3/3
SAQ 4: 2/3
DBQ: 5/7 or 6/7
LEQ: Maybe a 3/6? Bummer
Honestly just hoping for a 3.
The test was pretty easy honestly.
Predictions
MC: 30-40/55
SAQ 1: 3/3
SAQ 2: 3/3
SAQ 3: 1/3
SAQ 4: 0/3
DBQ: 7/7
LEQ: 6/6
Expecting a passing score. If you were paying attention in class, you should be fine. Didn’t even buy a prep book because of the vast amount of material covered. The test was stimulus based so studying wouldn’t help. Don’t remember what form I got.
MC: 25-35/55 (they’re only grading 50/55 MC)
SAQ 1: 3/3
SAQ 2: 2/3
SAQ 3: 2/3
SAQ 4: 1/3 (they’re only grading 3/4 SAQ)
DBQ: 1/7
LEQ: 0/6
YIKES
@hershelou what happened in the dbq and leq?
So my friend wrote on question three for the long essay and he was wondering if these were valid examples of a continuity and change.
Continuity: Western dominance
Change: Revitalization of the east through economic means in the post colonial world
