I’m taking WHAP this year, and it’s not looking so great. My teacher isn’t the best (80% of the grade failed her first test) so I was wondering if anyone has any tips? I currently have a high B, but would like to improve to an A, and yes I take a lot of notes, read the textbook, etc. I also have an AP prep book: The Princeton Review Premium Edition. I like the book, but I feel like it doesn’t have that much content covered as it needs to. Does anyone recommend any other prep books? Or a really good online source you guys use, please let me know!
This is an open discussion of WHAP overall, so anything related would be really appreciated!
This was my DD’s least favorite AP. She got an A but it was extremely time consuming. Hang in there.
Hello! I agree with the poster above, if you hang in there things will get better. However, there are several online resources that could potentially help you out.

That link takes you to an AP World history teacher’s website. He has in depth reviews that are concise and could help you get better test grades

This links you to the College Board’s AP World history course and exam description. If you go to page 192, you can try a practice exam to familiarize yourself with the MC style. More AP World questions are available on Albert.io if you’re really struggling and willing to pay the price.
As for prep books, more does not necessarily mean better and in readying for the tests you should study the materials that pertain best to their type. I would only read the Princeton Review for unit tests and use your notes to study for reading quizzes. I prefer Jay Harmon’s Crash Course in terms of prep books. It is straight to the facts, telling you exactly what you need to know while excluding excess information. If you want review videos I would recommend John Green’s crash course World history series or any video off https://www.getafive.com/ap-tests/world-history. It’s free and very informative. Have you written any AP essays yet?
I hope that helped a little, good luck!
Thanks for the help @history1000! No, we hadn’t done any essays yet, which really surprised me, considering it’s an AP class. My teacher says we should “get in the AP zone before going on to essays and such”. I feel like we should be doing essays, at least one every other week or so.
