My teacher doesn't prepare us for the exam at all!
When asked, she said she had no program for the first semester. She will start prepare in the spring semester. She also said she was a WHAP reader. But the way she teaches scares me. I feel I dont learn anything at all. The other teachers who teach WHAP prepare for their students right this semester; I definitely change my class in the next semester.

So our teacher gave us the book " The earth and its peoples" and make us take note each lesson. But the more you write the higher grades you get, according to her so I ended up writing a bunch of crap on my paper and I know I'll never can study off those notes.

So what should I do to prepare myself for the AP & SAT II World History in the meantime? I have the book Princeton review for the AP, is it enough? How should I prep for the WHAP and the History Subject test?
Thanks in advance

I’m not sure about the SAT 2. But I used Princeton Review for the AP exam, and it got me a 5.

I suggest reading through your textbook though and taking notes for the class. Don’t write down everything–just the stuff that sounds important and pertains to the themes of AP World History.

Yes but the teacher gives me grade based on how much I write. 3 pages-75; 5 pgs-95, >6 pgs 100. I want to get a 100. So I write a lot of crap down

I got a 5 on the World Exam, and all I can say is read the PR book as many times as you can, and do as much multiple choice questions as you can, as long as you can write a good DBQ you should get a 5

Write your notes, save a copy, and then add to it for your teacher. Her grading system is whack, though unfortunately I’ve had a few of the same kind of teachers.

My APWH teacher didn’t teach either. Besides, what else is there to teach if your textbook can teach you all the information needed for the AP exam? I received a 5 because I did my homework(notes for two chapters a week).

I was in the same situation as you; teacher didn’t help at all. Basically, I procrastinated on studying and only studied for two days. Studied the entire day after I got home - realized I was only done with like half, then skipped school the next day to finish the book. Took the test-got a 5.

Personally, I read the Barron’s. I also had the princeton review, but I felt that the barron’s is better suited for cramming for the test.
