AP World History!

are the multiple choice and free response worth equal, or is the MC worth 2/3? cus my teacher said the MC was worth 2/3, but I thought they were 50-50.

half and half, each weighted equally.

specnaz, you are right about only losing points for historical data. My teacher also reccommended that if you are running out of time, make sure you have at least an opening paragraph with a good thesis. That's one more point that you have even if you don't get anything else for that essay.

stanford1463, MC and FRQ are weighted equally.

Thanks for the help guys. Any more advice you guys can offer? Any of you know where I can find the past history exams, im freaking out and I heard like a lot of the past questions are on the exams.

For the DBQ this is what i plan on doing.
Para 1: thesis and somewhat of an intro.
Para 2: first grouping and ill specify bias and an add documents in the para instead of making a separate para for them
Para 3: Same thing except with second grouping
Para 4: Same thing except with third grouping
Para 5: Conclusion, just pretty much restate thesis and then end with a very broad statement.

Do you guys think that should get me a 9 on the DBQ?

And is this format for the COT Im doign fine?
Para1: Thesis
Para2: What it was like in the beginning
Para3: What made it change
Para4: What changed by the end
Para5: Conclusion

And can you check my CC format too?
Para1:Thesis
Para2:Traits of item A
Para3:Traits of item B
Para4:Similarities and Differences
Para5:Conclusion

Thanks a lot everyone

bump........

yeah thats basically the format im doing.

test is tomorrow:( omg

anyone know if they can see my format and if its fine. And anyone know where to find the past exams?

Ah, day before the test.

Time to study.

Hassannu, that sounds good, but I'm doing it a little bit different.

DBQ-
1st para: Intro,thesis
2nd para: grouping 1
3rd para: grouping 2
4th para: grouping 3
5th para: additional doc
6th para: conclusion

COMP/CONT-
1st: intro,thesis
2nd: Comparisons
3rd: contrasts
4th: conclusion

COT-
1st: Intro, thesis
2nd: what it was like in the beginning
3rd: changes
4th: continuities
5th: conclusion

i know. i'm really nervous for the frqs. we haven't done ANY in class at all. and like I really get nervous for essays. i don't do badly on multiple choice, but i think i might fail the frqs.

It's a better idea to mix your additional documents in your main body paragraphs if you're going for expanded core points.

how come?? is it absolutely not possible to get expanded core if i have a separate paragraph?

well how good would it look if right at the end you just list off random POV's and additional documents to get expanded core. It is generally better to make your essay more cohesive

bumps, zomg, i wanna sleep in 4 hrs
what do you guys think i should do.

I still havent read the last unit in Barrons and that is my weakest part because my teacher barely went over it. I should have started with that but I went chronolically. Reading the last unit would prolly take a 3 and a half hr chunk. I need help, should I read it or not? What should be my last reviewing thing?

Till now I just read the first 4 units of Barrons. Also are the mock tests that important too take, should they be high on my priority list or should finish reviewing be higher.

try taking the mock exam. If you just read everything at once, you'll probably forget many specific facts... At this point, you should just try taking the mock exam and study your weak points instead of trying to cram information...
