Who has taken AP WH and what was the score. That is my first and only AP and I am a little bit excited. Are there any tips or something you can share with me? I am not enrolled in an AP course, just studying from two books....

self study huh? the multiple choice part isnt that hard. i just read kaplans and princetons guide. highlighting helped me. i took the test they had and it can vary. for example, in kaplans two exams i took, i got a 4 and a 5. in the princetons two exams i also took, i got a 2 and a 3. princetons test are way harder and make u go deeper into the history so i guess it helped me. the essay part, well i had a class that helped me. without that class, i think my score wouldve been lower due to the essays. anyways, study, take practice exams, make sure u know how to write the essays, and ur good.
in the end, i got a 5. by far the easiest exam i have ever taken so far.

Just asking, where are you guys so far?

I’m taking the class, and we are at WWI. I feel totally not ready though.

We’re on the decline of the Ottoman Empire o.o

we finished our textbook about two weeks ago. (Bentley and Ziegler Traditions and Encounters 3/e). right now we’re just reviewing like crazy and chugging out essays once a week.

AP World was my first AP in 9th Grade. I screwed around in that class but somehow managed a low A average, and a 4 on the Exam.

I would suggest buying Princeton or Barrons- whichever Review your more comfortable with. Read over that a couple days and take the Practice Tests. You should be okay if you have a general idea of the time periods and who/what/where for the Essays (Religion, Trading, Government, Military, etc). DBQ is a walk in the park. Try not to focus on tiny tiny details- its enough information as it is. From what I remember didn’t go past the Cold War on my Exam.

I bought my Princeton Review and I am at the Counter-Reformation right now…
I also have a McGraw Hill book, I believe it would be pretty enough if I read the books and take the practice exams?

PR is enough for the test. or Barrons. Whatever works for you :)

I got a 4 on the test. However, I now know i could’ve easily gotten a 5. The mc questions really aren’t that bad. Just read through PR and you’ll get most of them right. For the essays, it’s REALLY REALLY important to practice old essays & DBQ’s ( i didn’t do that, so i BOMBED the essays). Also, read some strategies for taking the test.

Reading all these post makes me REALLY happy i’m taking the test as a Senior this year :D
