AP World History

I am taking AP World History in school but I am way behind. My teacher is good but I just don't know as much as I should at this point. My question is, which prep book is best for preparing me for the exam in May? I really need at least a 4 on this. Barrons, PR, Sparknotes, REA, Cliffnotes, Five Steps to a Five, or Kaplan?

What are you guys up to? Just wondering to see if my class is ahead/behind too.

What textbook do you use?

It hard to give a good indication if you are behind or ahead because my teacher kind of skipped around by tieing some chapters together. Anyhow, as of now, our class just began studying the Mongols.

Also, I use the AP Edition “World Civilization” The Global Experience Fourth Edition
I do not use the textbook though.

Anyone know what prep material is best for me to use? I have Barrons but I have heard mixed reviews on this book. Therefore, I am willing to buy some other book.

Well my class just started studying the industrial revolution, so maybe you are behind. However, less than <10 people in the class of 30 pass. So you are either waaay behind, or my teacher has something special planned.

do you mean that only about 10 people out of 30 receive scores 3 or higher? If that is the case, although we are behind it may mean my teacher has some sort of plan because last year’s class had about 30 students. I do not remember well but 3-5 kids received 3s and the rest got 4s and 5s.

Bump: Anyone know what book is best??

sorry but can i ask one more thing?
for ap us history, is 5 steps to a five a decent book taht will help me get a 4 or 5? I have a good teacher as well in this class. Or should I order AMSCO? (Only problem is that this book is REALLY long but ill read it if i have no choice)

AMSCO is the best APUSH review book. It’s concise and it’s like the American Pageant but doesn’t have all the useless information and annoying metaphors. It may look long, but it is because the size of the book is small.

Well. Only 10 kids actually take the test. Basically what I’m saying is that my teacher has a history of crappy teaching.
