If i had studies A LOT for the AP world history test, do I really need to study separately for the SAT 2 exam?? is the SAT much easier or are they about the same...?? And also, I heard that you can get 10 wrong and still get an 800. If this is true, how many questions are on the exam to begin with??

A lot of my friends took it last year after the AP and they judging from their responses, the SAT 2 is a lot more detail oriented...so it could potentially be harder without the essay. I've never taken it though, and I don't think I'm going to try (took AP this year too)

The SAT II is easier than the AP test- preparation for the AP test should ensure a good score on the SAT II. And yes, several incorrect questions won't prevent you from getting an 800.

Yes about 10 or so wrong is an 800, but with that said there are 95 questions in an hour.

is time generally a problem for most people??

I took a timed test without interruptions and finished the 95 question test in about 45 minutes. I was expecting to be time pressed (which is why I took the practice test), but I finished surprisingly early. I got a 750 on the practice test without studying (took an AP world course this year). I really like history though so my best advice is for you guys to take a timed official practice test and see how you do/if you have time problems.

I did AP World and the SATII for world last year. Having studied well for the AP test, I did a little bit of review and a couple of practice tests for the SATII and did extremely well. I didn't feel the need to review a lot, because I already knew most of the information from studying for the AP. At least last year, the SATII questions were a lot easier than the AP Qs. So, if you feel comfortable with your knowledge of world history, you don't need to study much for the SATII.

THANKS yoouuuu

Based on official exams, you can get up to 20 wrong and still get 800.

Yeah I thought the SAT2 questions were much easier than the AP questions also.

the sat 2 questions are slightly harder than the AP questions. But the AP is a harder test in general due to the 3 essays. Remember, the subject tests are allowed to have extra info on them that you may not have had to know for the AP, so getting a review book and going through it might be a good idea. Also, the SAT 2 questions might have a different "feel" to them than the AP questions, so going through one or two practice tests would be a really good idea, even if you think you've studied enough.

FWIW, I got a 5 on the WHAP test and a 740 on the World History SAT 2.
Also, don't let a low practice test score discourage you. I took two practice tests and scored around 650 for each of them. As you can see, my actual test score was phenomenally better.
