In general, however, most medical schools will expect applicants to have attempted the Medical College Admission Test (MCAT®), and to have completed the following types of courses:

* One year of BIOLOGY
* One year of PHYSICS
* One year of ENGLISH
* Two years of CHEMISTRY (through Organic Chemistry)

Do AP tests take care of this requirement?

I'm pretty sure I read somewhere that even if you use AP credit for those courses, you still have to take higher level courses for those subjects. So if you were to get credit for biology and are able to get out of the introductory bio class in college, the med schools would want you to either take the introductory class again, or take a higher level bio class.

Is it like necessary? I want to major in History

You can still major in history. You just need to take the above courses in addition to your history major requirements. Everyone applying to med school will have to do the same thing (only difference would be the major); even the biology or chemistry majors.
