Apartments?

Im transferring in the Fall and am in the process of looking for places to rent. I was looking around myself, but couldn’t really grasp what was good and what wasn’t. Does anyone have any good suggestions for places to rent? I am looking for something nice, but not over $625 a month (with 2 or 3 other people), and it doesn’t have to be too close to campus because I have a car, but it would still be nice to not have to drive more than 5 minutes to campus. Thanks!

I’ve been searching too, the places I want to visit so far are Uptown Village at Townsed, Hunter’s Crossing, and Magnolia Place (I only picked these because they have garages, which I need because I’m very protective over scratches, dings, dust, sun damage, etc  ) Try going on the website Apartment Ratings, setting the filter to >75% positive ratings, and searching from the map to find something close!

Thanks for the info!

@heygaby‌ Congrats on transferring! You are going to love it here! I just wanted to clarify a few things so you know what you are getting into. Parking is VERY DIFFICULT for cars. Like extremely. I know other schools allow you to park on-campus, but UF is very tough. UF has different decals that designate different zones for students to park in based on credits. You can see the parking map here: http://www.parking.ufl.edu/pages/maps.asp. The best way people get on-campus is by walking, bus, bike, or scooter.

My second year I lived in an apartment complex where I had to take a bus on-campus. It wasn’t bad, but I felt out of the loop and had to add an additional 20-30 minutes to grab the bus. Everyone is different, but I recommend checking out places where you can walk to class. These are usually a little bit more expensive, but you can walk everywhere and you are in the middle of everything. I had a few friends live at a Trimark property, and they loved it. I also work for Trimark now, and am continuously impressed by the thought & detail they put into each property. With over 250+ floorplans & 27+ apartment complexes, I’m sure there is something that would fit your budget & must-haves. You can check out the available listings here- http://www.trimarkproperties.com/propsearch.php

Good luck on your apartment search & welcome to UF! Feel free to message me if you have any questions about student life, clubs, classes, best places to eat, etc.
