It depends on how much you study and how interested and dedicated you are to the material. I got a 4 on EH as well, and I’m yet to receive my USH scores, but in my personal opinion, I felt that US history was slightly more difficult than European History. Mostly because EH I really was interested in learning about the culture and art movements while US was more cut and dry, and had to do with politics and presidential platforms. Additionally it depends on the teacher and his/her work pace. My teacher failed to finish the curriculum and give us a solid amount of review time, which probably reflects on my exam score.

Best of luck!

Hey, I took both exams this year. My teacher did not finish either subjects, so I was kind of self-studying. My classes were not challenging enough, so I knew I needed to put in a lot of work. I used Essential Content for USH. It was the only book, and I read it a few times and took a few practice tests. I managed a 5 on the APUSH exam and a 770 on the SAT II! On the other hand, I was not so confident with European History. I mainly used Crash Course, but read PR a bit. Somehow I also received a 5 on the AP Euro exam! Needless to say I’m pretty happy. Honestly, I found USH to be easier for me to grasp the material. I thought the exam was very easy. However, I think APEH is more broad and interesting. This year APEH had a pretty generous curve. I think APUSH is easier, but I guess it depends if you like learning presidents and whatnot.

Sorry for my lengthy, pointless post. I think it is just personal preference, but I see no reason why you can’t get a 4 or 5 on USH. Just purchase Essential Content by Larry Krieger.

USH is definitely easier. I got a 3 on APEH but a 5 in APUSH.

Coming from someone that managed to pull a 5 on both tests, take this opinion with however many grains of salt you want…walking out of Euro, I thought I was on the line for 4/5, and walking out of APUSH I remember thinking that I would be dumbfounded if I didn’t score a 5. The APUSH questions were a lot more straightforward, and the MC was so much easier, in my opinion. The Euro DBQ was a lot more obscure, as my APUSH DBQ was about growing opposition to slavery. As far as FRQs went, I would say that there was one on each exam that was very, very easy, and one on each exam that was a lot more difficult to write (out of the ones I chose). Overall, I think that APUSH was a much easier exam…

I personally found Euro to be easier.

I say this mainly because of the DBQ. In APUSH, your DBQ should be about half outside information, and half provided sources. In Euro, outside information is not necessary for the DBQ.

Granted, I found neither difficult, but Euro was the easier of two things that were already easy. I got a 5 on both, without any studying. Just pay attention in class, and you’ll do fine.
