for anyone who took the Environmental Science 2008 collegeboard released exam last year or as a practice test - did you think the Multiple Choice was difficult or easy?

Well, considering the fact that I got 10 wrong on a PR exam and 28 wrong on the 2008 exam. I say yes. it was hard for me. lol

Guess that means i’m screwed! =X

Are you talking about the 2008 APES Audit Exam? I just took it, and it was stupidly difficult; I only got 65/100 :(. I didn’t feel confident in over 50% of my answers…guessed on mostly all of them.

Someone please explain #44 and #57-59. Prep books didn’t cover this.

what exactly is an audit exam? i was talking about the one with the three questions on the map and the daphnia toxicity question at the end

Yea that’s the one, the audit exam is just a practice exam, it wasn’t really administered as a test

yeah, i thought it was really hard. are the real exams easier than this one?

This exam is supposed to be indicative of the real thing…guess we’re all screwed lol

anyone know the curve for enviro

same as the bio, i know that 61-100 is a 5 when you take your MC * .6 and add the free response points

Ok good I am not the only one who thought that audit thing was hard… Litlerally like every MC question is an all of the following except, and some of the graphs did not make sense. I hope the real thing is not like this, or there is a very generous curve.

I got 68/100 what would that correspond to or project to does anyone know?

My teacher is a reader for the APES FRQ’s. He says that it is well known among the APES teachers that the released audit exam is significantly harder than the real tests.

For me, I received a 71/100 on the 2006 exam, and a 60/100 on the audit.

The 68/100, assuming you answered all questions, would mean you had 32 wrong so after the quarter point deductions you would have 60 points and then multiply that score by .6 to get 36 points for the Multiple Choice section meaning that you would need 25/40 (62.5%) on the FRQ’s to get a 5, which isn’t too unmanageable… if you did not answer any of the questions you got wrong though, you would be looking at only need 20/40 points of the FRQ’s

All right, thanks for that. By the way for the guy who said he took the 2006 exam how did you get a copy of this is it online by any chance?

so we’re looking at like 95/140 to get a 5?

when you’re looking at it out of 140 it would be around 92-98 or so depending on where the pts you get are (MC or FRQ)

My teacher had the exam from the year it was administered. I’m not sure how he got it.

Lol the 2008 administered exam?

Are the 2009 PR exams really easy cause I just took the first one and got 81/100??

I dont think it is much easier than any other edition of PR. From what I’ve heard, PR is very indicative of what the real exam will be like.

That’s a relief. I got 70/100 with no prior prep, so I guess that’s good.
