I’m very interested in the Apollo dorms and the whole on-campus experience, but due to financial problems at home I haven’t been able to pay the fee for the application. If I pay the deposit ($250) needed this weekend will it be a waste? I don’t want go through the hassle of paying the fee if I don’t get a spot in Apollo. It’s my understanding that if you don’t get your first pick it goes down your list of preferences until there is a spot available. I don’t want to end up getting stuck with Neptune or Towers because I can’t afford it. What should I do at this point? Should I just go with off-campus housing?
Off campus ucf affiliated housing is about the same cost as on campus…knights circle and the Pointe.
Call ucf housing and ask what would happen if they can’t place you in apollo and if you can get your deposit refunded. You could also ask about a fee waiver…you won’t know if you don’t ask.
I heard that they’re both filled for Fall 2017 (these are probably the only places I would live off-campus my first year due to their UCF affiliation). Definitely calling UCF housing about Apollo availability and a deposit refund. I’m also looking into Libra dorms.
Let us know what they say and your experience with them…it may answer someone else’s questions.
Good luck!
