app complete 11/19 still havent heard!!!1

ugh so im really having bad luck with this whole college admissions thing...everything was sent in mid october, they lost my transcript, application not complete until November 19th. its like february 19th today, isnt it? so its been 12 weeks. wasnt the time for receiving a decision 12 to 14 weeks? I called three days ago to ask if a decision has been made yet and the lady said no, they have not reviewed my application yet. UGH! why is it taking so long?

wow, im sorry to hear that.. i thought i had it bad and i've only been waiting 9 weeks. good luck and i hope you hear some good news!

I completed mine on 6th Dec and haven't heart as yet so I'm in the same boat. :(

yeah mine was completed December 1st and I still haven't heard...I call almost everyday to check if a decision has been made and they say no so I'm just waiting...I have a feeling I was deferred but I'm wondering why they wouldn't send me a notification telling me I was already. Once I got my first semester grades I sent the unofficial copy straight to Michigan to give them some assistance ha, I'll follow up with the official if they ask I guess

i submitted mine dec 14, complete jan 11. I haven't been waiting that long compared to you guys, but its already starting to make me super nervous since people who applied LATER than me have already gotten in! Hopefully, our waits will all be worthwhile once the decision comes.

Relax people. If you come from an area where 1,000+ students applied (LA, some parts of Michigan, NYC etc...), it will take longer to hear back from Michigan. For those who apply in mid November and December, you will hear back from Michigan anytime between late January and early March. So do not panic. Michigan is only quick with students who apply in September and October. Even then they are sometimes slow if there is a large voume.

It's not simply time driven. They are also quick with applications that are clearly outstanding. If you know someone who heard much sooner than you, despite applying at the same time or even later, there may have been something that made their application stand out.

Thank you for your interest in the University of Michigan. We realize that
your application has been under consideration for some time now and would
like to assure you that your application is complete. Due to our increased
application volume, the application decision process has been lengthened.
We regret this delay and hope to reach a final decision as soon as
possible. Again, thank you for your interest in the University of Michigan
and Go Blue! If you have specific follow-up questions, please contact us

Just got that in the mail, guess I'll have to sit tight for a little bit more.

I'm having trouble with the "friend" account.

I received an email confirmation that my application was complete November 15th. I still haven't heard...is that bad sign? I'm from Long Island

Thanks

crazyastronaut, it wouldn't hurt if you called them up and asked for a status check.

did u hear yet? i received an email from them apologizing for the delay- my app was processed on 12/03

I applied on Jan 25 and I heard today Feb 28 that I was accepted.

I haven't been accepted yet either (approaching 9 wks. tomorrow), but j/out of curiosity, does everyone now see "financial information" links on their account, in addition to "admissions" and "personal" information??

how do you know that you've been admitted?

they send you a big envelope in the mail with an acceptance letter, a folder of umich stuff, and a matriculation form (in case you decide to enroll in umich).
