I applied for an appeal for the business admin. major at SDSU, noting that I will have my ADT from a local CC and all classes needed by end of spring. However, I failed BUS 140 which is needed by end of spring for both admissions and my ADT. I am now taking it this summer. Does anyone know what I can do?
There is really nothing you can do but wait to see if your appeal decision is accepted and then you will have to inform admissions of your current situation in retaking the course. Few appeals are ever successful so it will be a waiting game. Have you SIR’d to another school? If so, how will failing the course effect your admission at the other school?
I have not, my other choices aren’t as good as SDSU so i’m trying to figure out if waiting a year to go to SDSU is the right move. Since I am local and they asked for more info rather than saying no, like other students that get denied, I feel like I will definitely get in (or will have gotten in) if I have Business law (my last required class).
I always advocate to be proactive but in this case, I believe if you contact SDSU now before your appeal decision is made, you will definitely not get a favorable decision. What does your transfer advisor say about notifying SDSU of the situation?
They asked for my spring grades and ADT, which means they would accept me as long as I passed everything and got my degree. However I failed one class and now can’t have my degree till August.
(since i’m taking the course this summer)
