Hi. I got waitlisted at the following schools:
UC Davis
UC Irvine
UC Santa Barbara
and UC San Diego (UCB still pending)
Which of these schools accept appeal letters? If they do accept appeal letters, when is the deadline for sending them in?
Will I lose my spot on the waitlist if I send in an appeal letter and they deny the appeal? (or any other consequence?)
Thank you very much for any help/insight that you can give to me. I am aware that some of this information is able to be found online, but I have had zero luck in my google searches and FAQ digging.
Much appreciated

I am now aware that appeals for Santa Barbara are due April 15. Does that mean that the letter needs to be mailed there by the fifteenth?
Follow up question: Are writing appeals even worth it? Or should I just stay on the waitlist?
The only time you can appeal is if there was a major error in your application…your HS put in the wrong GPA or SAT scores were never sent or whatever. You can’t find anything about appeal letters because it isn’t a thing. Imagine if 20,000 people who got rejected all sent in letters.
Do not send an appeal letter. Pick your top choice and updated them on anything major you have done since you applied (honors, awards, etc) and tell them you would definitely attend if admitted (this is why you can only do this to one college).
that is not true^ call the school and ask for more info
I agree with @UCFreakKKK . The answers to your questions can be found in your college portals(try to look for the Frequently Asked Questions section). Good luck.
Waitlist appeals for the UC’s
For freshman students:
Berkeley, Davis, Los Angeles and San Diego will only allow appeals from students who were denied admission. Applicants offered a waitlist space may not appeal.
Irvine will allow waitlisted applicants to appeal only if they opt-in to the waitlist. If a student’s appeal is denied, they may remain on the waitlist.
Riverside, Santa Barbara and Santa Cruz will review all appeals, whether an applicant is on the waitlist or not.
Merced is not using a waitlist.
