<p>I just called UC Davis. They said they are going to start releasing decisions THIS week, and finish by the end of next week for freshman appeals.

<p>Did you guys see the UCD undergrad admissions page. They were like “give us one or two more weeks…we accept few, IF ANY, under appeals”. </p>

<p>I called them again today. They said they’re going to try for this week but they’re extending it again until the end of next week for their decisions to be out.

<p>Thanks for the info! Wow…this is seriously getting ridiculous. If there’s no room to accept any more freshmen, they should just say so instead of making us wait so long, waste our time, and give us false hope. </p>

Plus they made the transfer decisions for waitlists and appeals so quickly…they clearly prioritized and reviewed theirs before ours.</p>
<p>So they said they were releasing starting last week and finishing by the end of this week… but they didnt even start last week. Now they’re extending it? ***. Screw them. Its way past their deadline.

So I called undergraduate admissions this morning to check up on the decisions and asked if they were even planning on accepting freshmen through appeal and she said, “We havent accepted any freshmen through appeal. At least not that I know of. And we’re overeenrolled as it is so Idk where we would put them” she also said that if you have other plans at another college, to stick with them. It’s not a 100% chance that they won’t be admitting any, but it’s pretty close, as there are only a few appeals pending at the moment.</p>
<p>I’m waiting for a late SIR request as well. I’m not sure if they treat these the same as appeal of waitlist, but I’m also waiting for a response as they have pushed back their deadlines at least four times. They have also told me that they are over-enrolled, so I’m not too sure…</p>
<p>Why would they accept our appeals and take this long to review them if they’re already over-enrolled and don’t have any spaces to offer to freshmen?</p>

<p>Yeah…I dont even know. It’s so ridiculous and they’re just wasting both our time and theirs. And the thing is I read on Ms. Sun’s page that they were short on SIRs originally and a lot of people from my school who were originally going to Davis (SIRed and everything) chose to go to Irvine after getting off their waitlist so I thought they would at least have some space and were considering reading waitlist/appeal decisions. They should’ve just told us there was no room from the start.</p>
